Update:
It's been a busy couple of weeks. Finally, all the inventory - every last spool - is packed and boxed up. We sent out orders up to the last minute, when the pull racks were disassembled. Now, our beautiful ribbons are starting the journey to Virginia. A big shout out to the logistics crew! Phase 1 is complete.
Announcement: A Big Move for River Silks
We’re sharing some big news from River Silks! After 22 years of serving the global fiber arts community, Jean Krynicki is retiring and her daughters Lynn, Jill, and Beth are stepping up to continue the family business. We will be moving River Silks operations across country from Washington to Virginia, and this is a huge transition for us all on so many levels.
Since our beginnings—when the vision to create high-quality, vibrant silk ribbon and to provide exemplary customer service first took shape—River Silks has grown into a beloved source of silk ribbon for needlepoint, embroidery, quilting, sewing, and so many creative pursuits.
As part of this big move, we’ll need to temporarily close down for a number of months while everything is relocated and set up again. We know this isn’t ideal, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. This pause will help ensure that River Silks re-emerges from this chrysalis fully ready to deliver the excellent products and service we’re known for. We will stop taking orders on January 22nd.
To our customers, partners, and community—thank you for your loyalty and support. We’re honored to begin this next chapter together and look forward to all the beautiful projects yet to come.
Stay tuned for more updates on the next steps from River Silks. Happy Stitching!
